The Art and Music Alliance was created on the belief that all children should have access to an education that includes music and the arts. While achieving this goal we also aim build a newsworthy endeavor and a community supporting music and the arts. By visiting our website, contributing a photograph or by making a donation you'll assist us in achieving all of these goals.

Art and music programs have eroded in many cities across the country over the past 30 years. When budget cuts occur these areas of education often seem to be the first to go. It's time for this to change. Our primary focus will be toward inner city programs, after school programs and ailing public school programs. We will also assist programs that have sustained a certain level of growth yet still have room for improvement.

In addition to being a non-profit organization The Art and Music Alliance will also be an artistic and newsworthy endeavor bringing people together. The TAMA website will allow fans to view and donate photographs of their favorite bands or artist work, chat in forums, post bulletins, write or read reviews, discover new bands, share their experiences, find out about upcoming shows, support the organization and more. In a sense we are creating a non-profit while also creating an online community that supports music and the arts. In addition to fundraising events such as concerts and auctions, the primary attractions will be the online community, art, music and photography.

How does TAMA operate regarding donations? It's simple! With each financial donation of $40.00 or more the donor will be given the opportunity to select an image from an archive of donated photography that we will print, package and ship as a show or appreciation for supporting this cause. The available images will be donated photographs that have been gifted to us by fans and photographers after attending a concert, an event or any image from their collection. It will also include images taken by artists showcasing their work.

All donations will be processed through our fiscal sponsor The New York Foundation for the Arts and will be tax deductible.

They are just a few from my archive but I wanted to get the ball rolling and feel this is a pretty good collection to start with. Because I am the founder of the foundation I am not permitted to credit myself on these images. It's a self- promotion element that is against non-profit policy. All other photographers will be given proper credit and recognition for their work.
